Top 10 BRIGHT Moments of 2013 | Part 1

When we brought you the 2014 Lighting Trends last week, we realized a recap of all that was fabulous in 2013 was in order.  And so after careful review of the many BRIGHT moments from the last year, we are counting down out Top 10 BRIGHTest Moments of 2013.

#10 Omni Hotel Grand Opening Party with Destination Nashville – For the first of our top 10 BRIGHT moments, we are highlighting one of the grandest hotel openings of recent memory in Nashville – the brand new Omni Hotel!  It was awesome to get a call from Destination Nashville and be tasked with lighting this event.  While Omni has some basics when it comes to lighting, our job was to bring the creativity and working in such a large ballroom, we needed it.  Where traditional metal truss would have been used to string lights through out the space, we used our new wood posts instead.  These blended well with our overall event decor while creating a intimate space that pulled guests around the room – we love how it turned out!

#9 Nashville Venue Crawl! Over the summer, BRIGHT participated in Nashville’s first Venue Crawl.  Hosted by 4 of Nashville’s coolest venues, brides, grooms and their friends and family were whisked around Music City in style where they could check out each of the spaces and chat with vendors… sort of like a mobile bridal show but better.  Team BRIGHT was at Houston Station for the event and broke out our Marilyn Monroe chandelier for the occasion.  We loved this event because not only did we get work with amazing Nashville vendors but we were able to collaborate on a custom design for the space.  Previously featured on our blog in all its glory, you can see more pictures here.

#8 Collaborating with our clients to create custom lighting elements.  Seriously, we love nothing more than when a client calls us up and says they have an idea and what do we think.  We think awesome!  Whether a chandelier made of records to custom gobos to specialized lighting installations like no other, our clients have brought their A-game when it comes to ideas.  After all, we are here to innovate and 2013 was a year of doing just that!

#7 CMT Artist of the Year Awards After Party with Big Events –  After teaming up in 2012 to produce this event, Big Events came back to BRIGHT for the 2013 celebration at Nashville’s New Music City Center – and it was fabulous!  They even wowed us with their own awesome light installation over the bar. #6 New Warehouse and Office Space!  Things were looking pretty BRIGHT for our little company by mid-summer.  We moved into our new digs on Rundle Ave and following a minor controversy over the right paint color, we are settling into our home nicely.  Our move on up to the east side  rounds out the first five moments of our top 10 – stay tuned for the final 5 BRIGHT Moments of 2013 on the blog Thursday!
