Memree & Rich – “Pin-spired” Wedding
Recently engaged and starting to envision your dream wedding? I’m sure you, like many others, are scouring Pinterest for ideas and inspiration. I wanted to take one of our favorite “Pin-spired” weddings and break down exactly what went into to making this epic wedding vision come to life.
Memree and Rich were married in May of 2016 at the groom’s home. After the ceremony, which took place under the existing gazebo in the back yard, the guests were escorted to the front lawn where they we delighted by the ultimate dinner party. Sara Fried, of Fete Nashville, and her #dreamteam of amazing vendors (which we are so humbled to be a part of) designed a flawless evening under the stars.
During one of our early design meetings, Memree had dreams of an open air dinner party consisting of long farm tables down the center of the tree lined lawn adorned with twinkling lights hanging vertically from the canopy. She showed us the following picture:

Fast forward to May, all the stars aligned for Memree. By not having to defer to a rain plan (completely tented front lawn), we were able to bring her vision to fruition. So what did it take; 5,000’ of white twinkle lights, a 45’ boom lift, 8 pieces of ply wood, and 48 hours of man power. Why the plywood you ask? In order to protect the lawn from ruts and tire tracks we used sheets of plywood that we maneuvered along the path of the lift.
Another factor to consider is time. Since this event took place at a private residence, we were fortunate enough to begin our installation on the Tuesday before the Saturday wedding. We needed 2 full days to complete this look without any intrusions below us. (It tends to get a little tricky moving a 45′ boom lift around farm tables and chiavari chairs, ha!) Once we were set, the other vendors began to transform this lawn into an enchanting dinner party. Thank you Fete Nashville for having us be a part of such captivating event!
