BRIGHTest Moments of 2015, Part 2!
We’re back today with our Top 5 BRIGHTest Moments of 2015! On Tuesday we shared five other BRIGHT moments from the past year, so be sure to check it out! 2015 was good to us, and we’re happy to celebrate the awesome events that helped us grow as a company.
#5 Welcome to Erika & Lenny!
With bigger and BRIGHTer events in 2015, we brought on some big help this past year. Erika joined Team BRIGHT in September as our Director of Sales and Lenny joined the production team, taking on the role of Warehouse Manager. Erika hails from Ohio but is a proud alumni of the University of Kentucky (Go CATS!). She first worked as a marketing manager for a luxury real estate company following college. Then after moving to Nashville in 2011 with her husband Chris, Erika worked for Classic Party Rentals as a Senior Account Manager before joining the BRIGHT team in the fall of 2015.
Lenny’s a native of Detroit but has called the Nashville area home for many years. A jack of several trades, Lenny has been a barista, a customer service and credit rep, and a stock manager/freight coordinator for a major retail chain before landing in the BRIGHT warehouse. Additionally, Lenny works for the Commercial Entertainment Department at Columbia State Community College, Williamson County Campus, designing and constructing costumes for their theatrical productions. Loads of talent between these two – can’t wait to see all the creative ideas they bring to BRIGHT!
#4 Junk Gypsy Themed Event with Destination Nashville.
One of our most favorite things is when a client gives us the creative freedom to flex our muscles. When Destination Nashville came to us with an idea for an event, BRIGHT was give a theme and budget – the rest was up to us. Thrilled to have have full creative control, we worked to bring the Junk Gypsy theme to life with Flamingo Chandeliers, glittery Duck Decoy Fixtures and a Bicycle Wheel installation as the event’s focal point. Being put in charge of the creative design of this event ended up making our top 5 BRIGHTest moments of 2015!
Bonus! Destination Nashville submitted this event for Best Innovative Event at the Association of Destination Management Executives International Annual Conference – and they won! Icing on a very BRIGHT cake!
#3 Epic Weddings
When doing over 300 weddings in 2015 its hard to single out one particular wedding, but there were a few monumental occasions that are hard to overlook. From transformed venues, over-the-top tents & loads of drama, 2015 weddings were spot on. Here’s are the celebrations that made the tip-top of our list:
- Row 1: Claire & Mitchell’s romantic day, planned by Fete Nashville (photo credit: Kristin Vanzant Photography) and Melissa & Jason’s glam wedding planned by Elliott Events at the War Memorial Auditorium (photo credit: McLellan Style).
- Row 2: April & Ford’s dramatic & modern soirée at the Country Music Hall of Fame, planned by Jayne Bubis Events (photo credit: Joy Marie Photography and Margaret & Jonatha’s airy rehearsal dinner planned by The Social Office (photo credit: Kristyn Hogan)
- Row 3: Big Events transformed the First Center into a winter wonderland for Jade & Kirtis’ wedding (photo credit: I Love You Too Photography) while Katie & Brian’s celebrated Nashville-style at Belle Meade Plantation. Planned by Alice Hendry (photo credit: Divine Images).
- Row 4: Katrina & Nick’s sophotisicated wedding, planned by Jessica Sloane and Vidhi & Shreyas’ traditional Indian celebration with Sage Nines at the Rosewall
#2. AEGIS Event
BRIGHT, under the direction of Judy Henrichs at MotivAgent, created an elaborate and creative experience for AEGIS company retreat. Alongside Visual Elements, Music City Tents and Events, The Mitchell Group, and plenty of other vendors from Nashville and nation-wide, we captivated the attendees by completely transforming the Grand Ole Opry Plaza into a awe-inspiring sensory affair. #1 The Boss gets hitched!
The pinnacle of 2015 was a mid-summer celebration at Belle Meade Plantation as two very special people tied the knot. BRIGHT’s owner Clint, married his fiance Linda after a whirlwind 21 day planning timeline (it helps when you know people in business!). Alice Hendry helped Clint and Linda create a romantic celebration at the historic venue and all the BRIGHT Family was in attendance. We have worked from the beginning to build a close-knit company and celebrating such a special day together made our year! And it only got better when we found out a Baby Clint or Linda will make our BRIGHT family a bit bigger 2016!

Here’s to a very BRIGHT 2016! We can’t wait to see what is in store 🙂
