BRIGHT GIVING! A Military Wedding Gives BRIGHT Reason to Give Back

Today’s post features Amanda and Robb’s military wedding at one of Nashville’s premier wedding venues – Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.  The BRIGHT team had been looking forward to sharing this sweet couple’s story as it gave us an opportunity to combine two of our favorite things – Nashville weddings and giving back!

First the back story… When Audrey from Music City Tents and Events, stood up at a TWESA meeting earlier this year to ask if any wedding pros were willing to donate some of their services for a super awesome couple getting married in April, we had to find out more.  Her fab couple was a pair of soldiers with the cutest little boy – they had both dreamed of a traditional wedding with friends and family but a ballooning budget was threatening their fairy tale nuptials.  With all these two have sacrificed, we knew we wanted to help in any way we could.

(By the way, in case you are wondering, TWESA (Tennessee Wedding and Event Specialists) is a professional organization of Middle Tennessee’s top wedding and event vendors. If you are a bride or planning an event, you need to get their list of members. If you are vendor, you need to come to a meeting or join – either way you end up working with Nashville’s finest!)

For Amanda and Robb’s spring reception, we opted for elegance, creating a warm glow using amber uplights and a monogrammed gobo on the dance floor.  Patterned gobos splashed across the ceiling added texture and depth as seen in the images from Ace Photography below.  Simple and classic, this type of lighting package is relative low-cost while literally transforming the space into a wedding fit for such an amazing couple!
